WHET XUXA?

Does anyone else remember XUXA, the Brazilian pop star who had a children’s program? Her show was massive in Brazil and they started to air her show translated to Spanish in Spanish speaking countries (as well as the states, on a Spanish channel) and then decided to bring her and her show to the states in English. She could barely speak English (it was broken) so it was funny seeing her try to engage with the children here. She mostly just nodded and stuff. They tried pushing her here and even released a doll for her, but then she just vanished.

There were blinds back in the 90s/early 00s that her doing nudity in a film back in Brazil is what killed her career here in the states but I believe her show never took off like they hoped with American kids. Other blinds used to say she actually hated the kids she had to interact with on her show and hated kids in general. She was also allegedly fucking John-John for a while.

Xuxa announced her pregnancy during the Christmas special she was hosting in 1997 and then brought out Luciano. It was sweet. I remember seeing a video of it like 20 years ago and it had English subtitles but I can’t find that now. So here is the video where you don’t know anything she’s saying unless you know Portuguese. R28, nose, chin though? The nose could be the same, but r28’s chin is much larger (but not unattractive, just a different shape). I could see losing weight would make her look different, but her chin looks drastically different and I wouldn’t think it would look that different losing weight.
